>> you find an seemingly deserted outpost orbiting some no-name dwarf planet out in the galactic boonies. a backwater to end all backwaters.
you circle the structure a couple of times, looking for some sort of entry point.
finally, you spot it: a nice spot to hitch your ship, conviently next to an old manual airlock. it'll be a bit of a risky manuver, latching your ship to a hard point of unknown durability, and taking a space walk over to the airlock, but it's nothing you haven't done before.
after a few admittedly stressful minutes, you wrentch the heavy airlock door open. you float in, just fitting inside the closet-size cavity, and immediately after the outer door slams shut. no alarms sound, thankfully, but the emergency quarantine system kicks in, and you're hosed down with disinfectants.
dripping and miserable, but very much alive, you watch the inner airlock door slowly creak open, scraping the metal floor as it goes.
